What products will we need in the future to adapt to rapidly changing climates and environments? As an industrial designer based in LA, my work is influenced by the increasing urgency of climate-related disasters, including the Palisades fires. I explored how design can provide practical, adaptable, beautiful, and sustainable solutions for personal and public safety in an unstable world.
My investigation evolved through iterative sketching and hand rendering, allowing me to quickly explore and refine form, function, and adaptability. As climate concerns grew, especially after the Palisades fires. I created vehicles with a greater focus to emergency needs. Drawing helped me visualize revisions and test how each product might respond to real-world climate challenges.
