Interpretations across different medias

Through my work, I have found a fascination with how the language of abstraction changes from one media to the next. I’m interested in how photography captures a sculpture’s form through light and shadow, and how those range in values might translate into abstraction using vivid color palettes as it relates to the illusion of the ways color and tone  create contrast. A photograph captures particular aspects of a sculpture, yet when later painted illuminates a whole new set of design principles.
